Whiting Old
What can I call colors such as Yellow & Grey, that faded from White? As the white is old and dirty?
I need it for an essay I have to write and I dont know how to describe them. Like, Im doing a comparision between Miss.Havisham (Great Expectations) and Miss Emily Grierson (A Rose for Emily). And basically the theme of marriage and brides and everything is very recurring on both works, so the color white is encountered often, but as everything is getting old, and dusty and whatever, everythings faded to yellow, and grey.

You could use words such as discolored, faded, stained, worn, yellowed. You could use metaphors such as “the colour of the snow beside a busy highway” or “the white of ancient cobwebs”
You could even make it a longer description such as:
The dress that used to be a crisp clean white had yellowed and faded. It had become worn and dusty. No longer the colour of purity, it was now mildew and stains.
