Cleaning Jewelry?

I have a lot of jewelry; mainly 14K gold, Sterling Silver, white gold and diamonds. How do I go about cleaning them well?

In the past, I’ve used buffing cloths and the solution you buy at the jewelry store; but, I’ve run out of those.

I have a friend who says she takes all of her pieces to a jeweler. However, I have so many different pieces from so many different places. Can I go to any jeweler, then if the items weren’t purchased there. How much does it cost?

Some of my stuff is over 2 Years Old and in need a of a good cleaning, buffing and polishing.

Anyone have an good products for cleaning them at home?

I use boiling Hot Water mixed with dish washing liquid a teaspoon of vinegar and a tablespoon of Lemon juice in a glass or Small Bowl. Depending on how dirty your pieces are, let them soak for about an hour or two then take a baby toothbrush, prefrably the softest one you can find, you can get them cheap at any grocery store. Scrub the pieces gently while running under cold water then dry with a paper towel. My wedding ring gets very dirty as I never take it off but after I have cleaned them they sparkle like they just came from the store!!!!!!!! Hope this helps!!
