Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung reports that Axel Weber, the head of the Bundesbank, Germany’s central bank, has spoken out against German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s proposal to set up a European Monetary Fund to help eurozone countries in financial difficulties.
