Sterling Silver Sauce
Do tomatoes react with sterling silver in the same way they react with aluminum?

When one cooks tomatoes in an aluminum pot, the acid in the tomatoes reacts with the aluminum, causing the sauce to absorb the metal. Does the same or a similar reaction occur with sterling silver? I am making gazpacho (cold tomato, cucumber, pepper etc. soup) and I would like to serve it in a sterling Silver Soup tureen. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Not a problem for silver.
