the cassette slots weren’t just dusty, they looked as if they been rusting for years. so i used a blower to spray gasoline onto the silver bits, it cleaned up really well but now it won.t even play dvds or anything. did the petrol mess it up or did simply opening it up ruin it, it was VERY expensive
Gasoline = bad idea
You probably shorted out one of the internal transformers, when it got wet, electronics store energy even when unplugged.
