How can I make a mince pie hat? What should I wear with it? I need to dress up as a mince pie… DIY only?

In a week’s time, my school is holding a decorated classrooms comp. My class is doing “Christmas in the Human Body” and I’m meant to be a mince pie being digested.
So I was thinking I could make a cardboard ‘mince pie’ to be a hat. But I’m not sure how – I need the edges of the pie to be leaning outwards (I can only get them to go straight up at the mo) and I need to make a ‘filling’ somehow.
Also, what sort of clothes should I wear with the hat? I have no silver (like foil) or beigeybrown (like pastry) clothes…
