How Do I Clean My Waterford Crystal Decanter?
My girlfriend just inherited a few items from her Granny and Grandad who have now passed away.
This stuff included some lovely silver pieces which I have cleaned up using Goddards Silver Polish with no trouble but another piece she got was a lovely Waterford Cut Crystal Wine Decanter.
The decanter is the sort that has a high neck and a flast base so it is nearly impossible to clean inside without the aid of some serious equipment.
There are some stains on the bottom on the inside which I tried to remove with hot soapy water and while this cleaned the rest of the decanter beautifully, it didn’t get rid of the stains inside, does anyone know any solution I can make in the kitchen that will get rid of these marks and leave the inside of the decanter clean and sparkly????
denture cleaning tablets are good for cleaning such stains.You know the kind used to clean false teeth with. Then wash in warm soapy water and rinse with warm water with white vinegar added to it.The vinegar helps with water spots.
