Anybody knows good books on Iconography attributes and Saints Lives for the Orthodox Church?
This is purely Orthodox Saints and Byzantine/Russian Iconography. Anybody got any good books. I want something that helps me understand Icons. Not like the history, but symbols that i can use to identify the Icon. For example, If the saint in an icon has a cross, he is a martyr. Something thats like that. Not a history of Inconography
