How much does it usually cost to get a chain shortened?
I bought a sterling silver chain (necklace) that I love, but it’s a little longer than I’d like. Do you know how much jewelers usually charge to shorted a chain?
Of course, I am planning on calling around to find a good price, but I would like to know what a reasonable or typical price would be as a starting point.

it’s usually 7 to 10 dollars. as long as its not to make longer (cause that needs new material) and costs more.
