Old Antique locket??????????
hi i have a locket that was bought for me as a baby (20 years ago) in the oxford antiques centre.
its silver and round shaped and it open up to hold two photos on the inside doors.
the marks on it are an anchor, a prancing lion and what looks like a capitol E .
above these marks looks like the letters F B R O S
just wondering could anyone tell me anythng about this item …date etc??
The anchor stands for Birmingham, the lion means that it is .925 silver. FBROS just means that the company that made it is is F…(something) Brothers. You need to look up Birmingham silver marks and look for the E as that stands for the year, but there are lots of different sets of alphabets, and you need to compare yours.
