Modern Hollow Knife
Few wood working questions – Building a miniature guillotine?
I am building a miniature guillotine for my Modern History class and I am having a little trouble getting started.
1. How can I make the wood the size I need it to be? I haven’t checked it out yet but they probably won’t have the exact sizes I am looking for and I don’t have a band saw, the size I intend to use is much to small for a hand saw – is there some type of little saw or would a knife work? Can I buy the wood at certain widths?
How can I make the ‘blade’ (going to be cardboard) move.. like, connect to a string and move up and down? do i need to like hollow out the sides of the two poles?
If you have any knowledge you think will help me that would be immensely appreciated!

use rubber bands to drop the blade with a trigger. most hobby stores have wood at a lot of different sizes. to make the groove for the blade, glue 3 pieces of wood together with the Center Piece smaller in width than the 2 outside pieces. like this: “lil”
