My skin eats sterling sliver is there a way to protect the metal?

So my skin eats almost all metals, there was only one necklace my skin did not eat through and it was a cross my grandmother bought in Ireland and I am not sure what it was made of. However my wedding band was white gold and we had to have it redone a lot because it would start to turn yellow. My new wedding band set is sterling silver and I am afraid to wear it because I don’t want to ruin it. Is there away to protect the metal?

I don’t know of a way to protect it, are you sure it’s the metal that is the problem and not the nickel that is used in most silvers and some golds (specifically white gold to give it it’s white color)? What you are talking about is a fairly common problem with nickel, check to see your new wedding band is nickel-free if it isn’t I would consider trading it for one that is, I think this will solve your problem.
