Dessert Oval Soup
Where in Canada can one buy Soup Spoons?
If you go into any restaurant, fancy or otherwise, and buy a bowl of soup, it is served with a “soup” spoon. The Soup Spoon is a circular, deep little cup in shape, as opposed to an oval, shallow dessert type spoon. However, try buying one! Every Cutlery Set for sale includes dessert type spoons but not soup spoons. I have been to all kinds of kitchen supply shops and none sells proper soup spoons. Where can I find them to purchase? I am in Nova Scotia but have looked in various parts of Canada.
I am a former chef and from canada, you can find them sometimes at Kitchen supply stores or even try one of the restaurant supply stores, I worked in Digby at the Pines resort some time back, they are also known a Bouillon Spoons to, that may be another way of finding them, check the Yellow Pages for the Restaurant Supply places, even in Dartmouth maybe, stores like the Bay and Zellers may have them but the specialty stores are the best places to look.
