Who can I talk to if I want to a job at the airport?
I’m a Swedish man that are planning to move to London. I’ve been there once. I’m looking for a job. I have worked as Check In agent at Arlanda International Airport, Stockholm-SWEDEN and at Fiumicino International Airport in Rome-ITALY. I’ve been in the Airlines/Airport Business for almost ten years. Now I don’t know who can I contact to get a job at Heathrow or Gatwick AIrport.
I speak English, Swedish, Spanish, Italian and understand Portuguese, Norwegian and Danish.
Please help me! Thanks in advance!!!!
What do I need to start living in the UK? Before I get a job do I need to get a “Social Security Number” or Can I fix it after I got employed?
How much is a Check In Agent salary/month?
If you want to work at Gatwick, there is a Job Centre at the airport itself where they will also be able to tell you about obtaining a National Insurance card which you will need to work in the UK. You could also check the local papers in Crawley. They have a section on Job Vacancies (Sorry, I can’t remember what day they come out). If you get a job, you will also have to get security clearance, particularly if you are going to work “airside”. This is a good time to start looking because April is one of the busiest recruiting months as companies prepare for the summer season. You could also try Googling “Gatwick (or Heathrow etc) Airport Jobs” and I am sure you will find something.
