British Sterling Silver

Does Anybody Know About This???
I was given a hardcover binder that has 6 brand new first ever issued coins for the British Virgin Islands. Also with each coin is a stamp to match the coin. The dollar coin is Solid Sterling silver. The description of these coins says that this is the first time in history in any government in the world that has issued a special set of postage stamps to commemorate it’s first coinage. The dates on the coins are June 30, 1973. I was just wondering if this was of anything of value, or just a keepsake. Hopefully someone will know something about this, as I have absolutely no idea at all! Thanks!
